Our Cloud Computing Center of Excellence’s vision is to enable our enterprise clients achieve operational excellence by utilizing cloud computing platforms. We are providing services for setting up and operating cloud computing technologies efficiently, implementing Software-as-a-Service, application migration to cloud infrastructure, cloud security, quality of service assurance and business development through cloud ecosystems.

The Cloud Computing model enables a convenient, on-demand access to a shared pool of manageable computing resources such as applications, networks, servers, storage and services. These can be rapidly requisitioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction.

There are various models of cloud computing that are emerging. We strongly believe that firms will take a phased approach for cloud adoption and will look for noticeable benefits. The Cloud Configuration may be implemented as:

• Define Cloud Strategy
  To begin with, enterprises identify the areas in which the cloud model is applicable in their context and create business cases
• Adopt Cloud Platforms
  In this phase suitable cloud platforms are identified. Enterprise start data center consolidation and virtualization followed by steps for setting up enterprise private cloud platforms internally. Also selected are appropriate public cloud platforms, leading to creation of virtual private clouds and hybrid cloud platforms. During this phase cloud platforms are set up, validated with pilots and the quality of service levels are established.
• Migrate Applications
  Once the appropriate cloud platform is adopted, business applications are migrated to the chosen cloud platforms. Application development methodologies are standardized for the cloud platforms and cost savings are achieved through IT optimization.
• Create New Business Models
  The focus then shifts from IT optimization to leveraging cloud for business innovation. In this phase cloud computing technologies are utilized for creating new business services, new business models and new revenue streams by creating business cloud ecosystems.
